Come on, tell me I am not the only one because I am sure I’m not! My husband literally thinks I am insane every time we go into a store and I either sneak off to look at the school supplies or I do a ferocious head turn to see if I can get a glimpse without him having to give me a giant sigh.
Well while he’s been at working I just haven’t been able to help myself. I should be, hopefully, because I am dying to get in there able to get into my room next week.
I am doing owls in my room this year because I cannot resist and there is so much out there. My colors are bright blue and pink mixed with some green and orange. Here are some of my fab finds for the summer and a little book shelf I decided to redo with some chevron print- a pain in my boootay! Sorry for the messy garage 🙂 In front is a little chair I painted black too (super cute). I think the black will make all the bright colors really POP And now on too the finds…

Could not resist these coasters or fly swatter (wal- mart’s garden section). I have no idea what I’ll do with the coasters yet but the swatters will go perfect with The Teacher Wife’s Mr. Fly Guy Unit (Which my kids loved ALL year long) Click the button below to check it out! |
Okay Okay so this was a couple of trips
Michaels: The giant pad of scrapbook paper was 50% so only $10. The owl name tags were $1!!!! Plus they came with 48 name tags and that just does not happen. The owl notepad was also $1, the little owl guy was .50 cents and the ribbon was 50% too!
These name tags were the perfect find!!
This is the first year that I am going to use ribbon to separate sections on my bulletin boards. I think it is going to be much better. Also, I love Clutter Free Classroom’s idea of leaving designated space for anchor charts. Check it here!
More loot!!
I promise to do a little tutorial on this soon because it is seriously the best ever. These are for no sew chair pockets. I had 24 kiddies last year this year have 34 so I needed a couple extra!
Very excited for these too. I have had lanterns but I loved the look of these in Ms. Durbins classroom over at

Wow!! I love your bookcase that you painted! Looks like a lot of work. I can't believe you will have 34 kiddos this year! Is that all at the same time, all day? Whew! The lanterns are so cute and I would love to have something like that too but they don't let us hang anything from the ceiling at our school:( fire code…Anywho…I am trying the owl them too but really don't have too many things that I have bought. I think they are so cute though!!
Oh, I nominated you for a blog award! Stop by to pick it up:)
